So my coworker, Lindsay, lent me this book called Cell by Stephen King. I'm not really into horror, or even Stephen King for that matter, but it's #1 on the Globe and Mail bookseller list, so I'd thought I would check it out.

I'm hooked.
The storyline is very intruging. Basically, the world is ending by the spread of a virus. But this virus is only transmitted via cell phones, so whoever uses their cell phone goes all crazy, wanting to kill everyone they see, and after, killing themselves as well. Only landlines and radios are considered safe.
Makes you think twice about using your cell, I'd tell you that. Makes you wonder how many people in the world use a cell phone, and that if something happens, like if we see crazy people attacking each other, how many of us would also pick up a cell phone right away to call police or family. That's quite scary.
Anyways, I'm not too far into the book yet, but I'll be reading it tonight, I can tell you that.
So, me and Darren recently found out that Darren cousin's daughter (what would that be? Second cousin??) just had her 1st bday. She's the most adorable little girl that I had the most pleasure of meeting in Hong Kong. Her smile makes my day.

Anyhoo, we were thinking of sending her some clothes over to Hong Kong as a gift. And really, I learned a huge thing today. Babies are expensive stuff. Really. I swear, those stores pray on the cuteness of little things, and charge $50 bucks for a sweater that would fit the palm of my hand. Not to sound cheap or anything, but really, I wouldn't spend that much on myself, let alone for a piece of fabric that would fit the palm of my hand.
And second of all, babies grow fast. So we have to buy something for a 2 year old for a one year old kid. You know, to get the money's worth. Suckie. Oh wells. Learn to knit before poppin' babies I suppose.
For those who haven't seen the "If The Simpsons Were Real Life" video, check it out!:
Tis all for now!
