Slurpee's are good!

Music: "SexyBack"-Justin Timberlake

I don't know why I get the absolute WORST tanlines ever.

On Sunday I met up with Sorpie, Cory, and Lisa for some fun-in-da-sun down in Kensington for the Sun and Salsa Festival. Mayhaps I got more sun than what I bargained for. Now I have a resonating tanline in the shape of my t-shirt. Below my sleeve, is a bright red/dark brown skin color, and above my sleeve is pastey white. Same goes with my neck area. Annnddd my face too. So hooray...I'm officially a weirdo. Now I have to search for the aloe vera at home.

So to Sorp and Lisa, and all of my dark-skinned friends, I'd rather be dark-skinned and tan evenly than fair skinned and blotch everywhere. There. I confess!

I finally got to borrow Marian Keye's book "Last Chance Saloon" from the library:

It's kinda blah in the beginning..but...BUT..it gets good!!! But I'm glad too, in a way, that I borrowed it. I dunno if it's worth buying, even though I'm a Marian Keyes fan.

In GREAT news....I got a raise!! Finally! After two years of slavery I mustered up my courage and asked for one. Even though I had to haggle my boss for 3 weeks, I finally got an answer, and it's a "YES!" How much, I do not know. But hopefully it'll be enough to avoid having to pay for gas with an arm and a liver (and with the looks of it, maybe I'll have to fork out my heart too)

Holy smokes! Did anyone see Miss Universe Japan 2006? Even though she came in second, I totally think she should have whooped ass and won first. She's smart and pretty!

And more shadow techniques from Japan..this is you guys definately need to check out..it's uber cool!

I recently downloaded Gigi Leung's newest CD:

It's pretty good actually...well, at least I haven't been forwarding any songs as of yet. I much prefer her last CD, her songs on it were better. But whatever..I'm typically not a very big Gigi fan, but it's been okay. But I'm much more excited about Sammi's comeback; apparently she's in the studio working on something new and I'm SUPER excited..! She hasn't had a CD out in like 2 years...which is almost eternity when talking about the HK entertainment industry.

Hooray!! Audrey finally finished sorting her pics! And we get to see them Weds! Hooray!! I'm super excited!!!!

Screw. This.

I hate my job. Hate it. Excuse the language, but I seriously do hate my f*cking job.

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I feel better now.

Being understaffed sucks. Being overworked and underpaid sucks. Pulling in major OT for the past 3 weeks also sucks. Having bosses that push you to constantly get things done by berating you instead of getting their own hands dirty also pisses the hell out of me.

Today was the first time in 2 years I had left samples due for the next day and had not bother to prep them, because I was already 2hrs into overtime. I got pissed off, finished up "my job" (since my boss clearly stated to me, "I'm not touching that. It's not my job"), and booked it.

Fuck this shit. If they don't care, why should I?

I almost want them to fire me. At least it'll motivate me into getting another job.

Pancakes galore!

Oh oh..uber excited...I got another book!!! Now I have a mini-collection...my Marian Keyes collection:

And the latest (newest) one:

With the exception of the first book, "The Other Side of the Story", the other 3 books are based on a family of 5 daughters, in which each book details one of the daughters as a main character. It's so interesting to see how this family grows and how unusually warped, and normal, they are.

So good!

In other news, finally getting my bumper replaced! It was such a headache arranging the autobody shop and the car rental, but now it's semi-figured out. So now my rental is this hot-shot bright blue KIA. That's right boys and girls. A KIA. I'll take a groovy picture of it later with me in just to show you how cool I am. HA!

The other night I went out with Sonya for a nice dinner down on 17th called Fiore's. Pretty good!! But what was even better was the gelato place we stopped by for dessert: it was soooo good! I dunno what it's called, but you guys should totally check it out if you're walking down 17th; it's the only one gelato place so you can't miss it!

On Sunday Darren came over and it was FIFA Fever at our house. Sucks that Italy won, since I was rooting for France (you're right Lisa....), but whatever. Both teams were so good. However, I was quite disgusted with Zidane's infamous headbutt:

No matter what the Italians could have said...I can't believe he did that. It was such a disappointment...

My new favorite video of the moment; it sucks that Who's Line is it Anyways got cancelled. The real talent is in improv. And best game? Three Headed Broadway Star...and Colin gets me rolling around on the ground, crying my eyes out from laughing every, single time:

Did anyone miss out on Where The Hell is Matt? newest video? Quickly!! Watch!! More amazing places in the world to see and explore!

My personal favorite: Norway, doing the jig on that rock. Insanity, I tells you.

Me and Darren's 6th year anniversary is coming up this Friday. Wow. Can you believe it? 6 years. Man...I'm old! Well, that and I can't believe the fact that 6 years has come and gone so fast. I mean really..it felt like I just blinked and it's over. Times has been changing so fast; I realized that too at Ange's wedding, when so many of our old high school pals were there. We have all changed and grown so much; it's so amazing we've come this far and all of us has done something great in our lives already *sigh*

Reminiscing..... =)

So I've also been really into downloading TVB series lately. Seems like they have good stuff out!! I've finished downloading "Magic Chef", and now I'm working on "Forensic Heroes" and "Hong Kong Special Cases", which are almost like CSI-type shows, but of course, not as sexy.

Anyone have anything good in Korean dramas lately? So little buzz about them, seems like nothing is worth downloading...

Lastly, Stampede's here!!! Time for the cowboy boots and the hick side in all of us to come out. For some reason, I'm not so excited about it this year. I'm even unmotivated to go. Actually, I just kinda wanna avoid that whole Stampede area...I keep on thinking of the traffic. But anyways, I'm going on Weds, because Mimi's company got rush seating tickets for the Grandstand show and hey--who can opt out of that right?

Okie okie, I'm itching to read my book. Later!

Screw Portugal

At first I was rooting for them, since they play so well, and that was before I saw this during the match:

Who knew Portugal can play so dirty? Forget this shit...I'm so not cheering for a team that relies on cheapness to win a game.

Win with dignity, lost with dignity, that's what I say...

And Ronaldo doesn't look that hot anymore either.
