Rainy Day

It's offical. Lindsay's last day. And now she's gone. GONE!

I am sad. *sniffles*

On the work front: management recently offered me a chance to learn instrumentation (or rather, work with a GC) seeing since I'm "interested in staying here permenently". Hm. Maybe I'll stay a little bit for that. Juuusstt maybe.....

The good, and the very, very, bad...

Good news:

Darren got into round 2 of interviews with Sanjel for their cementing lab!!!!! I'm SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy for him it's insane. Probably cause he was so doubtful to get a second shot....but now it's for sure!!! We're both so excited, since this new position hopefully carries better experience with a better founded company, and a chance to also move up. And plus, it doesn't hurt that the title of this position is "Chemist" haha!

I'm sure that Darren has been looking forward to this too. And to think he didn't have a second interview!!!

YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad news:

Lindsay, from work, quit the other day. Yups, she found a much better (and well deserved) position. Although I'm soooooooooo happy for her that she is getting out of this hellhole, I can't help but wonder..."what am I going to do?"

Basically, Lindsay was my only motivation in staying with that company, because she was awesome to work with and we work so well together that we got things done. And when she leaves...well..lets just say work will be a much unhappier place.

I was comtemplating on leaving, but it would be silly to leave because a great coworker left..right? I mean, sometimes people come and go at work, and whether you like it or not, you can't all the time right? Darren suggested I leave as well, just because now that Lindsay is gone, a lot of the work would be pushed onto me. Which is true. But I think I'll suck it up for the time being. Not only do I not really have a choice, but I was thinking end of Nov/beginning of Dec would be an ideal time to quit. Then I can focus on finishing up my last class and finding a full time, stable, career-starting job.

Choices choices. What to do.

Stab Logistics in the eye!

Gonna be a short entry...well...I think at least..

Mayhaps I've been inspired by Audrey's posts lately about traveling...but I feel as though I wanna travel lots too! I've been forming mini-lists of all the places I wanna see:
  • Paris, France
  • London, England
  • Venice, Milian, Italy
  • Spain (anywhere)
  • Tokyo, Japan
  • Seoul, S.Korea
  • Greece (anywhere)
  • Egypt (to the Sphinx!)
  • Singapore
  • Thailand
  • Some places down in the states: New York, Chicago, Hawaii and Miami
  • Cancun (sunny Cancun!!), Puerto Vallerta, and all those yummy Mexican resorts

The blue and italics places are definate probabilities in the next couple of years (cross fingers). Unless something happens...like....I run out of money or something...which could definately happen too...then yah..obviously I can't. But I'm so eager for these trips that I'm *trying* to save up like mad for them. And as for the other places....well....they'll come. I'm hoping to go down to New York during Xmas and New Years (well not this year..sometime of course)....all of their beautiful decorations and doing the countdown at Madison Square Garden seems like something to experience...! And Cancun is definate must-do too.

I wonder where else I can goooo....

Did I tell anyone how much I hate logistics right now? The concept of logging in samples and putting in the right places don't seem to set a spark to them. I think it's funny how their incompetance is costing the company quite a bit in regards to late turnaround time, and yet, nothing happens. Oh fun fun.

And for some funky dancing from "So You Think You Can Dance?"

I personally like Travis, the dude in the black suit...too bad he lost =( Benji won though...the guy with the funny tummy.. =P And who knew: Benji and Heidi were cousins?? Neat-o!

Off to bed I goo!

Ahi Tuna Salad @ Joey's is da bomb

Let me try my weak francais:

Aujourd'hui, il y a un nouveau CD de Andy Lau...c'est tres bien!

Eh eh?!?!?! I'm proud!! *beams*

So, in short news, new Andy CD...and I've got it already (mwhahahha)

I should really start to hone my french skills if I plan to visit France/England/Italy next year. I'm so horrible at a language that I used to adore. Mayhaps I should buy one of them books or go online to see if they have tutorials or something.

C'est l'amour, n'est pas?

Que sera sera....whatever will be...will be....I wonder if this cell phone is destined for meeeeeeeeee....!

And the brilliant thing is that it comes with an FM transmitter thingy, so it can work like the iTrip for the iPod, only for the cell phone =)

Unfortunately, this phone also costs an arm and a leg. So I'm hoping that poker would help me fund my way to this magnificant piece of metal. But after last night, I realized that there would be no possible way of achieving my goal, so yes..saving up it is! But what do you guys think?? White or black?? Or is there a better phone out there?

So I'm pretty excited about the possibility of going to London, England next year. I'm thinking about seeing if my cousin can take me to France, Spain and Italy for a quickie tour, but that would also take away from her wedding festivities. So just in case, maybe I should brush up and hone my french skills, whatever limited they maybe. But I really wanted to see Paris (Effel Tower, Le Louvre) and Venice, Italy. I just finished reading John Grisham's book "The Broker" in where his main character settles down in Italy. It sounds so relaxed there...I would love to visit it!

Check this uber cool video out.....it's all done in one take!

A whole bunch of us went up to Sylvan Lake yesterday. It was boo-ti-ful!! And so much different from what I remember it! There was a ton us: Me, Darren, Mat, Grace, Wilson, Jen, Sorpie, Cory, Judy, Kenny, Cindy, Nadia, and Lily. We had a ton of fun, and the highlight was renting the boat and crusing around with it on the lake. It was also so much fun when we donned lifejackets and jumped into the freezing water (which turned warm after), in which Mat lost his beloved sunglasses (very smart..mwhahaha)

For some stupid reason, blogger isn't letting me upload any pics, so for now, it'll be pic-less. Besides, I would like to wait until I get those group pics of the boat.

On Weds night we all piled into Cindy's house and looked at the highlights of Audrey's trip. Yesiree....it was only the highlights of 12 days in Japan and it still took us 3hrs-ish. It was crazy!! But whatever, the pictures were super awesome and I loved them all. My favorite was the Ninja movie and different pics of food that they have...all so cool! And the fact that Audrey had tofu ice cream gave me more reason to visit Japan/Korean in 2 years. Yesiree bob..I'm going!

Anyways, it's late and I'm going to bed.
